At the Rekkid Store

hit a couple records stores after work yesterday, currently working my way through some new purchases & enjoying it all so far:

Tortoise - A Lazarus Taxon (3 cds & a DVD for $18? awesome)
Bob Dylan - Modern Times - more love & theft, not a bad thing!
Ray Lamontagne - Till the Sun Turns Black
Pajo - 1968
Scott Walker - The Drift

i just noticed, that's a lot of dudes.

Hi Mac,

Brand new to Chapel Hill (after 10 years in Berlin/Germany), and wanted to say that I really like the newest Portastatic track ("Sour Shores"), and am very much looking forward to the album (and the show with M Ward/Lambchop).

Otherwise, that Scott Walker album is heavy, to put it mildly.

Take care,
Derick

P.S. Kinda amazing that Lambchop is playing such a small place compared to the crowded halls in Germany . . .

Yeah, it's rough.

Conversely, the Superchunk show tonight was great fun. You guys rocked the house!
