The Lines!
one of the most treasured singles in my 45 collection is "White Night" by The Lines. i recently took it to NYC to play at my friend Phil's birthday party. i learned it to cover with Portastatic awhile back as well. i'm excited about the Lines today because i just read on the 'fork that someone is finally reissuing the Lines' output on the popular compact disc format. "White Night" is a classic -- post-punk but also harking back to the 60's...i think Brix Smith covered it...and the only other single i have by them is called "Nerve Pylon" which is also great. the band was always mysterious to me because info on them was hard to come by, much less other records, so i'm really looking forward to hearing the comp! check it out if you have a chance.

Awesome! I'm always up for some new music.
Man, that's great news. "The 'Fork" posted an MP3 of "Nerve Pylon" a little while back and I've been hungry for more ever since.
