is it possible that GOP waited until now to out Foley as the filthy IM'er that he is to knowingly create a shitstorm big enough to distract people from the fact that we just legalized torture in this country? just sayin'...

Nah, because they were planning to *run* on torture -- this was their big triumph right before the end of the legislative session, right? They thought they would be so clever, making Democrats have to defend themselves as "soft on terror" by voting to preserve habeas corpus. And this Foley stuff blew up.
All you really have to know about the current GOP is that they thought suspending habeas corpus would be a winner at the polls.
yeah, impressive that those "mavericks" mccain, graham and warner went along with the habeas corpus suspension as well! they really showed Bush! what a bunch of rebels.
There is much shrillness on this blog. It is very upsetting.
we're all about the shrillness over here in liberal land. i heard denny hastert admit that he, too, was shrill but then he did a doubletake and said "oh i thought you asked if i 'like krill' " which of course he does...cause he's like a whale?...stopping
i'm curious about the gas prices dipping these recent weeks and the dow hitting record highs...
Shrill indeed. To go you one further: could they have let this drop when they did so that the "timing would look very suspicious" and they could vaguely and without proof blame it on "Democrat operatives" and "our friends on the other side" with murky motives? A la SEAN HANNITY, GREAT AMERICAN?
