Color Balance
Took advantage of a snow day this week to check out the new Felrath Hines exhibit at the Ackland, beautiful color field type abstract paintings, perfect way to get away from the freezing rain coming down this weekend around here! Fascinating life story and absorbing work. The work pictured here, "Escape," is not even my favorite but i can find few images online to share here.

oh my god, another underated CLASSIC from the past, Love Tara by Nova Scotia's brilliant Eric's Trip!! So many songs on there with such urgency and beauty. "Frame", "Sunlight", "Spring", "Anytime You Want".....damn. Thanks for the reminder to jar it off my own shelf.
p.s. that Hines image you posted makes me think of a sun-soaked beach in Miami, with the shape in foreground being some sort of beach chair. Maybe that's why your brain was drawn to it? Heh.
